CLIFFORD GEorge
Clifford George was born on the West Coast in August 1962 and raised in Tofino and Ucluelet B.C.
“My inspiration came early in elementary school, when I watched a biography on Emily Carr, painting around Nootka Sound and the West Coast. My artwork started as drawings and then I started original paintings in the late 80’s. In 1996 I started learning about carving cedar, since then I’ve made plaques, paddles, and masks. I then started with totem poles, I’ve done Bears, Eagles, Ravens, 4 foot to 20 foot poles. One of my 20 foot poles was brought to Amsterdam.
To those who have purchased my work, thank you.”
